The People’s Democratic Party Youth Frontier has claimed that a Nigerian man cut off the thumb that he used in voting for president, Muhammadu Buhari because he his disappointed with the government.

It made the claims on its Twitter handle @PDPNYF, claiming that the man cut off his thumb in regret because he is disappointed with the president’s reign.
A photo of the man’s hand was posted and captioned: “Man cut off his thumb he used in voting Buhari. He said Buhari has disappointed him and that he is ashamed and has regretted voting for him.”

However, some Nigerians on Twitter believe the allegations to be false while others insulted the the alleged man.
