We all remember Jackline Mwende whose story brought the nation to tears and anger after her hands were chopped off by her husband. Right?

Well, to recap the story a bit, Mwende says she was attacked by her husband for allegedly being barren.
Stephen Ngila, 34, was arrested for attempting to kill Mwende on July 18, 2016. He denied the charges and is now in remand.The man's relatives also refuted claims that Mwende's husband was behind the attack.

Mwende told journalists that she had been separated from her husband for three months after failing to conceive and he attacked her with a panga because the couple was childless during their seven-year marriage.
Mwende's story attracted sympathy from far and wide and well wishers even helped her get prosthetic arms.

Now, another miracle has happened to her as she has now received a brand new permanent house. A group of women parliamentarians came together, constructed the house and also gave her shopping.
