A 500 level Covenant University student identified as, Segun Michaels, has died after he bumped his head in the swimming pool.
NAIJ.com gathered that the young man who studied Building Technology met his untimely death when he went out with some friends to swim in the school premises.
How Covenant University student died within the school premises
His friends noticed something was wrong after they realized that there was no movement around the area Michaels was swimming.
They immediately found him and performed CPR when they noticed he was not breathing. His friends had noticed a bump on his head and called for help but it took too long for the school bus to arrive and take him to the hospital for treatment.

According to the story sent to SubDeliveryMan, a lecturer drove Michaels to the sick bay but upon getting there, they discovered that there was no oxygen or defibrillator to administer the necessary treatment.
Micheals was buried on Sunday, April 2.
The incident has gathered angry reactions from social media users, with people complaining about the incompetence of the school management.

The school authorities are yet to comment on the allegations, however, friends have gone on the deceased’s Instagram account to express their shock at his demise.
