The former First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan, looks stunning has she attends the Rivers state women’s day golden jubilee celebration.
At the celebration on Thursday, April 11, the former First Lady lauded Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for his efforts to empower Rivers state women.
She expressed that Rivers women would continue to be grateful to the governor for giving them professional and political leverage.

Mrs Jonathan said that Wike’s decision to appoint a female deputy governor and chief judge paved the way for Rivers women to take pride in politics.

During the ceremony, Wike advised women to struggle for power rather that expect it to be given to them by men.

He said:"When it comes to power, you have to struggle for it. If you are prepared for politics, you must equipment yourself."
Wike announced that his administration will create a women development centre to empower women.
