Crippled worker receives N3m from Chinese company after THIS happened to him (photo)

NAIJ.com earlier reported that a Chinese man identified as Master Wan in Magboro, Ogun state, allegedly broke the spinal cord of one of his Nigerian workers William Ekanem with Kung Fu kicks.

27-year-old Ekanem’s spinal cord was broken in April when after his Chinese boss kicked him on his back for reluctantly showing him the foodstuffs he bought on credit.

Punch reported that following his broken spinal cord, Bedmate Furniture Company have compensated Ekanem with the sum of N3 million on Thursday, June 29.

It was also reported that the young man was discharged from Beachland Specialist Hospital, Arepo because he did not have enough money to pay his bills. Ekanem was later taken to Divine Touch Hospital, Ibafo, Ogun state.

However, the Chinese boss was also accused of bribing the Ibafo divisional crime officer with the sum of N50,000 to bury the case. The company also revealed that Ekanem is fond of stealing the company’s properties which he denied.

Bedmate Furniture’s lawyer Ayo Durojaiye also revealed that Ekanem injured himself on that fateful day as he was seen struggling with his boss, Master Wan. His medical report also proves that the young man sustained minor injuries.

Ekanem’s lawyer added that: “A Zenith Bank cheque was issued to Ekanem. We are about to open an account for him in the bank. The money will be judiciously spent.”
