The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi on Tuesday, October 17, turned a year older and the whole palace celebrated him. His sisters were also present at the celebration.
According to some pictures which have gone viral online, the Ooni of Ife obviously did not plan to stage any party but he was thrilled as his chiefs and other persons in the palace took their time to celebrate him.
Oba Enitan Ogunwusi was treated to a surprise birthday party as he had lots of cakes brought to the palace. This celebration was held on Sunday, October 15, at the palace.

One of the cakes seen in the pictures had all the traditional symbol of the Ooni of Ife on it with the name: “Arole Oduua.” The cake also had his ruling staff, royal beads, white car and other things that symbolize his throne.

Also celebrating the royal father were ex-super eagles football players. They did not come empty handed but presented to him one of the best gifts ever. The footballers gave Ooni of Ife a customized Super Eagles jersey.

The jersey which had the Ooni’s title written on it ‘Ojaja II’ was signed by all the ex-super eagles players present at the party.
