Nigerians are thieves, thieving is part of our culture - Nigerian lady Affiong Oviosu

- The wife of Tayo Oviosu has got tongues wagging after her recent revelation

- According to her, thieving is in the Nigerian culture

- She made this declaration while praising a Rwandan lady for her honesty

When the president of the United States made a derogatory statements about African countries, he received a lot of heat from not just Africans but his fellow Americans. While receiving insults from foreigners about Africa is no news to most people, a certain Nigerian lady has received mixed reactions from social media over hers.

Identified as Affiong Oviosu, she recently took to the Twitter platform to share her opinions of Nigerians. According to the wife of the owner of Paga, Tayo Oviosu, Nigerians are thieves and it is just because of poverty, but for fact that it is an inborn trait.

She wrote:" I got a $50 refund for my wedding cake by the cake maker because she had not spent as much as she originally quoted. She was from Rwanda, a country poorer than Nigeria. This culture of shortchanging is Nigerian culture. It's in our DNA."

Her tweets received mixed reactions from people on social media as some believed this to be true while others saw it as an insult and very unpatriotic of her.
