The dreaded issue of ped*philia has risen to become a fundamental issue in the society today. Children who are considered minors are constantly taken advantage of by much older people who most times, are supposed to care for them.
There have been reported cases of this atrocious acts carried out on children ranging into thousands. Just recently in Uganda, a 63-year-old man was arrested for defiling a two-year-old girl.
Identified as Musa Mulo, he is reportedly an Imam at Kibubbu Mosque in Lugazi Municipality in the neighbouring Buikwe District, said to be married with three wives. During his court sentencing, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
However at the commencement of the trial on Friday, Musa Mulo who pleaded guilty to defiling the girl had this to say: “I carried that child, put her on my laps and I just saw my zip opening by itself,” the imam mused court.
