- Henrikh Mkhitaryan risks missing Arsenal's Europa League semi final second leg clash against Atletico Madrid in Spain
- The Armenian forward recently returned from a knee injury in the Gunners 2-1 defeat to Manchester United and scored in the game
- Wenger is hoping to have his star player back for the must win game to stand a chance of reaching the final of the UEFA second tier championship
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has raised concerns over the fitness of Henrikh Mkhitaryan ahead of their Europa League semi final clash against Atletico Madrid on Thursday, May 3.
Goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Antoine Griezmann ensured both teams shared the spoils at the end of the meeting in London four days back.
However, the Armenian attacker made a surprise return to the Gunners squad that lost 2-1 to Manchester united at Old Trafford on Sunday, and scored the only goal for his side in that match.
But Wenger is unsure if the 29-year-old will be ready for his side’s next game after suffering a minor injury which forced him out of the game 15 minutes to final whistle.

"We will see if Henrikh Mkhitaryan is available for Thursday," Wenger told BBC Sport.
"I took him off because he had a bang on his knee."
The 68-year-old took a big risk by making eight changes to his team that suffered a slim defeat to United with the aim of resting most of his key players for the must win clash in Spain later in the week.
Mkhitaryan was forced to miss the first leg of the Europa League clash against Atletico due to a knee problem which the Gunners conceded a late goal to draw 1-1.

The outgoing Arsenal manager also has concerns over goalkeeper David Ospina and Alex Iwobi, who both started in the defeat to United.
The Frenchman added: “Mkhitatryan had a little knock on his knee, Ospina has a rib problem and Iwobi has a hamstring problem.”
He said: “At the moment, no. We will have to monitor them.”
The closest the Gunners have got to winning an European title was in 2006 when they lost 2-1 to Barcelona at the final of Champions League.
Wenger has won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups in the process, while the former Monaco manager won manager of the season three times in his 22-year-reign.
