Breaking: President Buhari arrives Abuja after 2-day visit to Bauchi

President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja after a 2-day visit to Bauchi state where he commissioned some projects.

The presidency announced Buhari's return in a tweet on Friday, April 27.

NAIJ.com had reported that the president arrived the state on Thursday, April 26 for the visit.

The Punch stated that he was welcomed by the governors of Bauchi and Adamawa states, Muhammed Abubakar and Mohammed Jibrilla at Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi. Also present to receive him were some ministers.

Meanwhile, Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, has blamed those opposed to the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari of being behind the attacks in parts of the country.

The minister made the allegation in the US when speaking on the achievements of the Buhari administration.

President Buhari is due in the US at the weekend for a meeting with President Donald Trump on April 30 in Washington DC, The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

Mohammed, since his arrival, has been actively engaged with the media and some think-tanks. He said the Buhari’s administration has a lot of success stories, which needed to be told.

The minister was first in Washington, DC and later in New York, where he explained that Buhari’s administration has done very well and recorded so many achievements in less than three years.
