Who is the current NCAA Director General?
The person at the top of the chain at the NCAA is Captain Muhtar Shaibu Usman. The man in question was born in Zaria, Kaduna State on December 5, 1956. He attended Government Secondary Technical School in Soba until 1972. A year later, he moved on to attend Government Technical College. In 1975, he graduated with the Federal Craft Training Certificate.
From the very early years of his life, Usman was fascinated with planes. His fascination soon turned into a calling, which was why in 1975, he decided to enrol in Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria also known as NCAT. He studied Aero Electronics and Telecommunication, in which he later received a diploma.
But the man did not stop there. For almost two decades, he continued his education. In 1977, he took a course on Radio, TV and Electronics from City & Guilds, as well as received a qualification of a Commercial Pilot with instrument rating and multi engine from Burnside-Ott Aviation Training Center in Miami, U.S.

After that, he moved on to Nigeria Airways, where he flew B-737 between 1985 and 2004, among his other assignments. Muhtar also assisted in the operational and technical administration of the fleet as the assistant Fleet Captain.
