Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has given up his pursuit of Real Madrid playmaker Isco and has instead set his sights on another Los Blancos star, Daily Star, quoting Don Balon.

And according to Spanish media outlet, Guardiola has returned to the club for his alternative target, Toni Kroos.
The Germany international is regarded as one of, if not, the best central midfielder presently in world football.
Manchester United are also in the running to sign the ex-Bayern Munich star but Guardiola is pulling out the stops to intervene.
Jose Mourinho is in search for a centre-midfielder as Michael Carrick called it quits, Marouane Fellaini is likely to leave, while the future of Paul Pogba is uncertain.
