Nigerian man commends EFCC for raiding Lagos night clubs; lists major fraud fronts, other key places to raid

A Nigerian Twitter user, Noble Igwe, has advised the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to look into night clubs along certain streets in Lagos, claiming that some of clubs serve as fronts for money laundering.

Igwe, with the Twitter handle @Nobsdaslushhkid, mentioned some popular stores that are allegedly used for money laundering.

He also claimed that some record label companies, car and property selling businesses are major 419/fraud fronts.

His claims came just few hours after the EFCC raided some night clubs and arrested 12 suspects with 10 cars recovered.

The anti-graft agency made the news known via its Twitter handle.

“While some abandoned their exotic cars to evade arrest, some others resisted. 12 suspects were arrested, with 10 cars recovered.

Reacting to the news, Igwe tweeted:

NAIJ.com previously reported that the acting chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, said he disagreed with the Transparency International's ranking of Nigeria in its recent corruption Perception Index.

Magu said although he is undeterred in his fight against corruption in Nigeria, he was worried that the ranking was politically motivated.

Speaking to journalists at the EFCC's headquarters, Magu said, the situation in Nigeria has not been the same when compared to the past years.
