Chelsea bid for Real Madrid and Liverpool target as Courtois' replacement

Chelsea are set to join the race with Liverpool and Real Madrid for Brazilian number one, Alisson Becker, to replace Thibaut Courtois this summer, The Sun reports.

The Stamford Bridge outfit appear to have finally lost hope in the Belgium international in the coming weeks and will now look to poach Roma's goalkeeper under The Reds' nose.

Alisson has been a target for Jurgen Klopp's for months now as he looks to finally replace the fumbling Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet.

However, the Italian club are keen to delay an discussion until after the World Cup before they listen to offers for the £79m-rated Brazilian.

The Brazil international's contract in Rome runs until at least June 2021 with reports in Italy claiming The Blues have launched a cheeky £53m bid, £27m less than what The Reds were quoted.

The man keeping Manchester City's Ederson out of the Brazil first XI currently earns just £25,000-a-week at Roma, but is to be offered an better contract whether he remains or goes.

But with the three heavyweight clubs all keen to bolster their goalkeeping departments this summer, there could be something of a transfer merry-go-round this summer.

The Reds have now turned their attention to Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak in a sensational £79m deal.

With Real Madrid thought to be keen on Courtois and contract extension talks with the Belgian coming to an end, Chelsea are now giving all they have for Alisson.

And the Blues could be in the front line for Alisson, with the Merseysiders having already spent big to bring in midfield pair of Fabinho and Naby Keita for a combined total of nearly £100m.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Chelsea could announce former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique as their new manager.

The Blues have been linked with Maurizio Sarri after he left his role as manager of Napoli and was immediately replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.
