President Muhammadu Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo, his vice, on Monday, June 4, held separate meetings with security chiefs at the state House in Abuja.
Channels Television reported that the president first met with chiefs and heads of security agencies after which Osinbajo convened a crucial meeting with a number of heads of security agencies.

Those in attendance were Inspector General of Police, (IGP) Ibrahim Idris; the director-general of the Department of State Security (DSS), Lawal Daura; and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami.
There are claims that the meeting between the vice president and the named top security personnel involved the case of the Senate president, Bukola Saraki and the police over the Offa robbery scandal. However, the IGP has remained silent on the details on the meeting.
Meanwhile, the IGP had on Sunday, June 3 invited the Saraki for questioning after suspects arrested in connection with the robbery named him as being indirectly involved, claiming that they were his political thugs.
But in a statement released by Saraki's special adviser on media and publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, the Senate president referred to the allegations as baseless and a ploy by the police to tarnish his image.

However, Saraki demonstrated his claim of innocence by honouring the police's invitation, saying that he has sent his Aide-De-Camp (ADC) to collect the invitation.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com reported that the police had revealed circumstances that led to the invitation of Saraki over April 5 multiple bank robbery in Offa.
Police spokesman, Jimoh Moshood who announced the arrest of Mr Yusuf Abdulwahab, the chief of staff to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and Alabi Olalekan, his personal assistant, political said the bandits arrested made confessions during interrogations, indicting the senate president in the process.
