- A Nigerian man identified as Tanko Lateef has been arrested in Taraba state after allegedly stealing from and killing his boss in 2016
- According to Rapid Response Service (RRS) Commander , Tunji Disu the culprit made away with valuables and relocated to Taraba state
- He was later caught by undercover RRS agents few weeks ago
Everyday for the thief, one day for the owner. On June 2, Rapid Response Service (RRS) Commander , Tunji Disu released a report on Twitter, exposing the identity of a Tank Lateef who allegedly killed and stole from his former boss in 2016.
According to Tunji's post, Tanko had been employed by a 50-year-old woman in Lekki area of Lagos as security guard and gate man. After working with her for a while, Lateef allegedly stole valuables in cash, jewelries and phones from his boss and killed her to seal his crime.
He then reportedly relocated to Taraba, where he planned to continue his life. After successfully living uncaught for two years, Tanko most likely slipped and was nabbed by RRS undercover agents in Taraba, in 2018.

Disu warned that Nigerians should be careful who they employ to guard their homes.
