Manchester United are reportedly planning to sign Paris Saint Germain midfielder Marco Verratti this summer according to Daily Star.
The Red Devils are looking for a replacement for retired Michael Carrick, while Marouane Fellaini is said to join another club.
Following a not so impressive season last term, United want to add quality to their depth and they have identified the Italian star as their target.

Meanwhile, they will be hoping to land Brazil international Fred this summer as they have already made a bid of £52 million to sign the Shakhtar Donetsk star.
The 25-year-old joined the Parisians in 2012 from Pescara and his current contract with the French League side is due to expire in the summer of 2021.
"It's an honour, because the club has once again renewed its confidence in me and I accepted the offer immediately," he said at the time.
"We have already won a lot in France and I want to keep on winning and now we also hope to win in Europe because that's our aim, the club's aim.”
The Italian midfielder has won virtually all the trophies with his club except the Champions League, and their efforts to win the last one was thwarted by the eventual winners Real Madrid in the round of 16 stage.

United according to the Mirror made a £100 million bid when they enquired about Veratti last summer, and the Sun report that PSG would be prepared to let Verratti leave for closer to £70m this summer.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is the first choice, but Lazio are demanding at least £88m for the Serbia international.
NAIJ.com previously reported Marco Verratti has informed Paris Saint Germain that he wants to leave and join Real Madrid as he believes he is not currently at the best club to fulfil his potential, Don Balon reports.
The 25-year-old has been one of the key players in the French club since 2012 and played an instrumental role in the Parisians Ligue 1 success in the past few years.
However, after PSG were ousted by Real Madrid, the Spanish media outfit said that Verratti is eager to go against PSG’s wishes and join Real Madrid with president Florentino Perez has become aware of his desire to do so.
