Offa robbery: Saraki sends ADC to collect police invitation letter

Senate President Bukola Saraki has began preparations to honour police invitation over the allegation that suspects arrested for the Offa robbery attack in Kwara state indicted him.

Saraki in a tweet via his official Twitter handle @bukolasaraki on Monday, June 4, said he sent his ADC (Security official) to collect his letter of invitation from the police so as to enable him defend himself of the alleged involvement in the Offa robbery.

The police had on Sunday, June 3, while parading the suspects responsible for the robbery in Offa disclosed that the Senate president must come for questioning over the incident.

Saraki in a statement denied the allegation, urging the entire public to disregard the claim as a baseless allegation and another ploy by the Police to implicate him by all means

NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Senate president Bukola Saraki was invited by the police over the deadly robbery that took place at Offa in Kwara state.

Jimoh Moshood, the force public relations officer disclosed this in Abuja on Sunday, June 3, while parading 22 suspects in custody for the robbery.

According to Moshood, Saraki will be interrogated over his relationship with the suspects arrested in connection with the robbery.
