A 64-year old pensioner from Spain, has become one of the world's oldest mothers by giving birth to twins, after an in-vitro fertilization a few months ago.
The woman, who has only revealed her initials which are M.I.A, got pregnant in the U.S. and then returned to Spain to deliver the infants at the Recoletas Hospital in the city of Burgos.

She had already given birth to another daughter in 2011, but Social Services took her away because the girl was apparently lacking personal hygiene and schooling on behalf of her mother.
The woman is Spain's second oldest mother, for now. The boy –who weighed 5lbs 3 oz–, and girl –who weighed 4lbs 8 oz 5lbs 3 oz– were reported to be in a “perfect state of health.”

“The mother and her twins, a boy and a girl, will remain in the hospital for four or five days which is normal after a Caesarian,” a hospital spokesman said. The person added that “there were no problems. Everything went according to plan.”
