It was gathered that the man was seen smoking outside the Bizerte courthouse by an official who immediately reported him to the police.
The man was arrested and sentenced to one month in prison for smoking during Ramadan.

NAIJ.com gathered that the man was sentenced a day after Tunisians staged a protest to demand the right to eat and drink in public during the month of Ramadan.
Not long ago, four Tunisian men were also sentenced to one month in prison for eating in public during the holy month.
According to Islam, Muslims are to abstain from eating, drinking, smoking and having intercourse from dawn to dusk during the holy month.
