The media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretta Onochie, has received backlash on social media after she referred to the president as the President of Africa.
Onochie made the statement after the president returned to the country from the United Kingdom on Monday, September 25.
President Buhari left the country for a four days medical leave. He also attended the 72nd United Nations General Assembly in New York.
After the president came back, the media aide took to her Twitter page to welcome him back. She wrote: “Our President, The President of Africa, Muhammadu Buhari, Returns home after a Triumphant Outing At the #UNGA2017.”
