Lewis, a 27-year-old single mum from Springfield, IL, started her journey to becoming a professional nurse about 10 years ago.
There were numerous roadblocks along the way, including deaths in her family, lack of college fees, and having to juggle between motherhood and multiple jobs. But none of these hurdles thwarted her quest to become a certified nurse.
