NAIJ.com earlier reported how Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson delivered her first child but kept it under wraps from fans, especially the identity of the father of the child. In a recent interview, the new mum opened up about it all, revealing the reaction of her mother when she heard the news.

With the growing pressure of fans and the recent verbal attack of relationship expert, George Lutterodt on the state of the matter concerning the pregnancy news, Yvonne Nelson has finally opened up about her baby, man and situation of her family with adorable pregnancy shoot photos.
In a recent interview with Wow magazine, the actress explicitly stated that having a child was planned and it was what she wanted before marriage. Nelson also revealed that a former boyfriend before she met her father's baby had proposed but she moved on, seeking happiness and not just a rock on her finger and a new lifestyle.

Speaking on why she chose having a child before marriage, Yvonne conceded that society is sometimes too hard on women. According to her, if one meets a responsible guy, who makes them happy and they are ready to bring a child into the world then they should go ahead and do it. Just like she has.

Fortunately, the actress opened up about the opportunity of getting married to her former boyfriend who proposed to her. It had made her happy buy as a successful actress in Africa, she didn't want to relocate to London which is the condition that came with the ring.

She however, met someone else and decided to start a family. All was well except the fear of the reaction of her mother who she revealed was a traditional woman and the ideology of a child outside of marriage wasn't one she would have easily bought.
On how her mum reacted to the news of her pregnancy, she said:
“My mum, she used to be so big on marriage, she was very traditional, marriage then baby, until I got pregnant, it’s like everything changed, I guess your priority obviously changes to something else. She is now more concerned about the Baby”. She brushes a strand of hair out of her eyes.
She doesn’t pressure me anymore with marriage you know, like its not like I am engaged or married or anything, it’s just that when it happens, it happens. As a woman you cannot marry yourself."
