Three Nigerians in the United Kingdom have been chosen as part of the winners of the Queens’s Young Leaders Award for 2018.

It was gathered that the organisers of the Queens’s Young Leaders chose people based on the impact they have made to change the lives of the people around them.

Isaac Damian Ezirim was reportedly picked for his work as a computer programmer tutoring teenagers in low-income areas how to code.

Kennedy Ekezie-Joseph who works at Calabar’s Council for Women’s Rights was picked for his work on promoting women’s rights in his community.
Hauwa Ojeifo who is based in Lagos state was chosen for the work she is doing to overcome mental health stigma in Nigeria.

The prestigious programme which is in its fourth and final year is done to celebrate young individuals from age 18 - 29 across the commonwealth.
