A young man based in Ibadan, Oyo state, has taken to social media to narrate how he was almost lynched by angry mobs for attempting to show love to a skinny girl and her mom.
Identified as Ifedayo (@Kingifedayo) on Twitter, he disclosed that he was on his way home from the farm when he stopped at a nearby eatery to buy food. While on a bike home he noticed the girl and her mom and decided to give them his food because they looked hungry when the trouble began.
Ifedayo further narrated that passersby immediately gathered around him to find out why he would give them his food while others concluded that he is a yahoo guy and wanted to use them for ritual.

His post reads: “I was coming back from my farm around 11am this morning and I decided to get something to eat from a nearby eatery, after buying the food I took a bike back home, on my way I saw a woman that looks like those northern people with extra-long hair with a very skinny child who was crying, the woman was dragging the little girl with one hand, she then sat on the floor and gave the girl water, then she stopped crying and then started again. I noticed they look hungry then I told the bike man to turn back to their direction, I gave her the N700 food I bought for myself and gave her 500 before I could say a word I was surrounded by people about 6-9 they kept asking me what I was trying to do. I didn't want to answer to them at first since I have no business with them, so I approached the bike and one of them shouted on top of his voice saying HE'S A YAHOO BOY HE WANTS TO USE THEM FOR RITUAL, I looked back and then the crowed multiplied and I was almost lynched even the bike man ran away. Then two of them said they know me that I should explain myself which I did. They told me to take back my food and money which I did and then headed straight to my house. I've lost appetite now I can't even eat. This happened around 11am at Jeje road after Alakia junction in Ibadan. Stay safe guys.”
