Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, the Alaafin of Oyo has been captured on camera showing off his perfect dance moves to his subjects. The Oba was seen moving to the beat as Yoruba traditional drummers beat their drums and sang for him.
The Oba who seemed to be enjoying himself as he danced was in the midst of subjects who hailed and praised his dance moves. Many of them could be heard saying “Ka ra o le” which means be strong in English. Ka ra o le is a way of greeting Kings in Yorubaland.
In the video, the Oba's subjects also urged him to dance more by raising different types of songs meant to praise Yoruba kings.

Another photo of the Oba having fun with his wives outside Nigeria also surfaced on social media. Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III who has been the king of Oyo since 1970 is described as a just and good king.
The Alaafin of Oyo was born on October 15, 1938. He assumed the throne on Novemebr 18, 1970.

He was chancellor of Uthman Dan Fodiyo University in Sokoto from 1980 to 1992. In 1990 President Ibrahim Babangida appointed him Amir-ul-Hajj in recognition of his commitment to the consolidation of Islam in Nigeria.
