A Nigerian lady simply identified as Silvia may have put herself in quite a fix after she mistakenly bought airtime worth N15k using the online banking platform.
When the idea of online banking was introduced to Nigerians, a lot of people were happy and elated at the the opportunities and comfort it provided. One didn't have to go all the way to the bank to make a deposit or do a withdrawal. It was more or less a gift sent from heaven through the introduction of technology.
Although not everybody was so accepting of this method of doing business as the chances of being duped were high due to the influx of cyber crimes, there are still many people today who use the online banking platform due to the conveniences it provides. The introduction of airtime sales through the online platform witnessed even more people join the practice of online banking. As is known, everything no matter how good, always has its downsides.
While cyber crimes seems to be the major threat and fear of most people, however that is not the only fear or rather disadvantages of the platform as it has proven that not all wrong transactions are reversible and this is mostly due to the nature of the business.
Identified simply as Silvia, it is safe to say that she is definitely feeling the brunt of the downsides of technology. She recently took to the social media platform to narrate her unfortunate experience with the online banking platform. According to her post, she mistakenly bought N15k worth of airtime instead of N1,500 as intended. While it may appear hilarious to some people, these are not good times for her.

She took to her Twitter page to share her story and in the process called on the bank and the service provider to come to her aid: "I mistakenly bought 15,000 card instead of 1500. Guys pls what can I do. @ecobank_nigeria @MTNNG pls guys I need help cant sleep"

Clearly not in need of so much airtime, she requested for a method to transfer the airtime out and her service provider came to her aid. We hope Silvia finds her way out of this and get her money back.
