Arsenal show class as they thrash Ahmed Musa CSKA Moscow in their Europa League quarter final clash

Premier League giant Arsenal have defeated Russian opponent CSKA Moscow 4 - 1 in their Europa League quarter final clash at the Emirates stadium.

The Gunners are almost condemned to miss out finishing in the top four of the Premier League and winning the Europa League seem their only passage to the Champions League.

And it was this determination that they showed just 9 minutes after kickoff as Hector Bellerin fed the ball through to Aaron Ramsey, who picked up the pass inside the box and quickly drilled it into the roof of the net, leaving the goalkeeper helpless.

Arsenal restored their lead in the 23rd minute as Alexandre Lacazette blasted his penalty into the bottom left corner past the outstretched arm of Igor Akinfeev.

Arsene Wenger side continued their fine play in the 28th minute as Aaron Ramsey got to the ball inside the box, saw0 the goalkeeper off his line and lifted the ball over him and into the back of the net making the scoreline 3 - 1.

And the Gunners went on a rampage in the 35th minute as playmaker Mesut Ozil provided Alexandre Lacazette with a nice pass inside the box. It allowed him to finish with a precise effort into the bottom left corner 4 - 1.

At the end of the first 45 minutes it was Arsenal that walked into the tunnel with a commanding 4 - 1.

The Gunners came really close to adding to their already comfortable lead but the defence of CSKA held on and at the end of full time, the scoreline is 4 -1.

In other Europa League quarter final clash Atletico Madrid defeated Sporting Lisbon 2 - 0, Lazio edge out Salzburg 4 - 2 in a six goal thrilla and RB Leipzig defeat Marseille 1 - 0.
