- Oxlade-Chamberlain has revealed why he left Arsenal last summer
- He believes that his side Champions League thrashing of League leaders Manchester City was the reason he left Arsenal
- The English man scored a stunning 25-yard strike in the clash
Liverpool winger, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, believes his side Champions League 3 - 0 thrashing of Manchester City is proof he was right to leave Arsenal.
The English man scored a stunning 25-yard strike in the emphatic victory as Jurgen Klopp's rampant side humiliated the soon-to-be-crowned Premier League champions.
When asked by Liverpool press if his goal and The Red's win had justified his £30m switch from a club that's spent this season in the Europa League, Oxlade-Chamberlain said: “Definitely.
“The manager has been pushing me all season and shouting at me for not taking games by the scruff of the neck and providing those kinds of moments — being the one shooting and making the difference.

“It's starting to pay off and that's what I've wanted to do from midfield.
“It definitely shows why I wanted to come here and I want to keep improving. I could have been better on the ball so I was a bit disappointed with that and there are areas I need to improve on.
“The goal - I need to produce more moments like that. There were a few runs I did where I broke the line and it was just the last man I didn't manage to get past or didn't get the shot off.
He added: “It's those moments where I could have had a second goal or set someone up, so there's definitely areas I can work on.
“That's the way I've always been. At times it's gone against me because I can be hard on myself and beat myself up a bit. I have to set the bar high, I have to improve to get to where I want to get and to be as good as I hope to be, so I keep working on it."
