As part of efforts to rid Nigeria of criminality, troops of 33 Artillery Brigade, Bauchi partaking in Operation Lafiya Dole arrested four cattle rustlers at Yayari village Ningi local government area of Bauchi state, on Tuesday 3 April 2018, the Nigerian Army has said.
In a statement by Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, the director Army public relations, the suspects were named as Musa Mohammed, Magaji Isyaka, Jao Musa, and Nura Bello.

“While interrogating the suspects they confessed to have rustle two cows and sold to one Alhaji Ado who is at large.
“Effort is ongoing by Nigerian Army troops deployed with support from other security agencies to trail Alhaji Ado and other suspects to put an end to this dirty business.
“Troops also maintain surveillance, intensify patrol and continue to monitor the general area to deny cattle rustlers freedom of movement,” the statement said.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that the efforts by the troops by the Nigerian Army’s Operation Lafiya Dole to rid the north-eastern part of the country of terrorism and other similar crimes recently yielded fruit with the capture of one of the most wanted suspects.
A short statement by Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, the director Army public relations, confirmed the arrest of the suspect and three others whose photographs were also released.
Though the name of the Boko Haram member was not given, the statement read: “One of the Boko Haram suspects in white shirt is No.5 on the Nigerian Army wanted list and three other suspected members of the group have been arrested by troops of Operation Lafiya Dole.
