Real Madrid abandon proposed bid for Salah and Kane, set to move for top Bayern striker

- Spanish giants, Real Madrid, have backed out of possible deals for Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah and Tottenham’s Harry Kane

Spanish giants, Real Madrid, have backed out of possible deals for Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah and Tottenham’s Harry Kane in other to focus in their pursuit of Robert Lewandowski, according to reports.

Both stars who are in sensational form this season is battling it out for the Golden Boot in the Premier League this year.

Salah latest goal came against Manchester City in a 3-0 thrashing at Anfield in the Champions League, taking his total to 38.

And Kane has hit 35 goals this season, as Spurs look to finish in the top four and secure the FA Cup.

The duo's form had initially alerted Real Madrid, who are looking to rebuild in the summer.

But Sports Illustrated report that the European champions will abandon their pursuit of Salah and Kane to go all out for Bayern Munich striker Lewandowski.

Out of form Karim Benzema looks set to be axed and the Polish hitman has been touted as his replacement.

But a defiant Bayern remain adamant that their top scorer will not be leaving the Allianz Arena anytime soon.

And Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “[Lewandowski’s] an extremely important element of our team and perhaps the best number nine in Europe.

“I would readily take the bet that Robert will 100 per cent be playing for Bayern next season.”

NAIJ.com previously reported that Spanish League giants Real Madrid have reportedly re-launched their bid to sign Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea.

The Spaniard was almost joining the Red Devils in 2015 but for last minute administrative issue that soiled his move to the Santiago Bernabeu on the last day of the transfer window.
