Breaking! 4 Super Eagles players dropped from World Cup squad by Gernot Rohr

Four Super Eagles players' World Cup hopes have been dashed after being dropped by German coach Gernot Rohr.

The Nigerian team are expected to be hosted by President Muhammadu Buhari before travelling to London in preparation for the friendly match against England at the Wembley Stadium.

According to renowned sports journalist Colin Udoh revealed on his twitter account the players screened which includes; Dele Ajiboye, Uche Agbo, Stephen Eze, and Junior Lokosa.

Lokomotiv Plovdiv defender Eze quickly took to his social media handle to extend his wishes to the team.

"Sadly, my journey to #WorldCup ends here.

"I am disappointed to not make the final squad, but I want to thank our coach & management for the opportunity!

"I wish my team the best & hope to join in celebrations when they bring the trophy home! GO #NIGERIA :flag-ng::soccer:! #DefendLikeEze."

Kano Pillars striker Lokosa and the Nigeria Professional League top scorer made an impressive debut for the national team against DR Congo on Monday.
