Senator George Akume, representing Benue Northwest, has called on Nigerians to keep faith with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Akume, in a Democracy Day message by his media aide, Torhile Uchi, said the APC-led federal government is on track in fixing the economy and return the country to the path of greatness, The Nation reports.
He urged his constituents to celebrate democracy despite the challenges of nationhood as there is no alternative to democracy.

The former governor also advised APC supporters not to be deceived by opposition elements as the party will win all the elections in 2019.
NAIJ.com previously reported that the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), a northern organization comprising many elders from the region allegedly scored the administration of President Buhari high on security and in the fight against corruption.
The forum described the challenges and successes that Nigeria experienced in the last three years as the natural process of nation-building.
The report attributed the assessment of the government to a statement released by the ACF by its national publicity secretary, Muhammad Ibrahim Biu.
The statement said the continued degradation of the Boko Haram insurgency, the rescue of over 100 Chibok girls and the 104 Dapchi girls that were kidnapped and held captive, as well as the re-habilitation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), were reassuring measures to restore normalcy and hope.
