A young lady has taken to her social media handle to share the lengthy lecture her mother gave her brother who she felt did not properly greet everyone in the family’s WhatsApp group.
The lady, who was identified as YTube- Vivian Okezie (@VivianOkezie_), disclosed that her brother just said: “heyyy” in the WhatsApp group and her mother began to advice everyone in the group. She also added that a good Igbo boy will not greet someone like that.
She further advised everyone to make use of their senses and not allow themselves to be brainwashed with the things of the world.

The post reads: “Emma, how are you? You are turning Americaner. Whom were you pursuing by saying ‘heyyy? Instead of you to be correct son of Igbo land by greeting well ‘good morning house, how are you all’? Happy Democracy day. If you can’t say ‘ututu oma’as an Igbo boy be making use of your senses, you are a man. Never you follow the multitude in all aspects of the World evolution. If you have greeted normally this morning, later in the day you can say this your phrase of ‘heyyy’, whether you are pursuing fowl or goat by saying heyyy heyyy! Mind you, this is part of my work as a mother. As I am saying this, is for everyone in this house. You know that I cherish you, so I want you to be perfect in character despite the impossibility. Have a blessed day.”

Okezie’s mom did not stop there but further disclosed that: “As God has created you like moon, please garnish your image with good character. It is honouring and giving person better seat to sit comfortable. Please start learning the African norms and values, they will help you a lot. But when you see yourself in Rome, you do like the Romans. Otigbo?”
