- Liverpool are close to signing Lyon attacker Nabil Fekir this summer
- The 24-year-old has been superb for his French League side in the last few seasons
- He is also said to be wanted by Arsenal and Chelsea
Champions League finalists Liverpool have reportedly launched an initial bid of about £52.5 million for their summer target Nabil Fekir.
The 24-year-old currently plays in the French League side Olympique Lyon and his deal runs out in the summer of 2020.
And according to Le Parisien, Lyon might reject the deal as the bid doesn’t meet the value the club placed on him.
Having failed to win the European title last weekend in Kiev, the Reds landed their first signing, Fabinho in a £44m deal from Monaco earlier this week and they are hoping to add the midfielder to their fold.

The Ligue 1 side are said to be in no hurry to let their man go as his performances for the club earned him a spot in the Didier Deschamps' 23-man France squad for the World Cup.
However, he will face competition from PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann, Thomas Lemar and Olivier Giroud in the starting lineup for Les Bleus at Russia 2018.
Meanwhile, Lyon will be hoping that Fekir's value increase if he gets good playing time at the World Cup next month.
The 24-year-old helped his side secure Champions League spot after finishing third on the French topflight table.
However, the Mirror claims Liverpool have not made any bod for the France international contrary to reports coming from the French country.
They add that Reds sporting director Michael Edwards will seek talks with Lyon next week in the hope that the beaten Champions League finalists can wrap up a deal.
If they can clinch Fekir's signing then it would most likely take Reds' summer additions past the £150m mark, with RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita joining for £52.75m.
The midfielder has made 115 appearances for his club side with 45 goals credited to him in the process, but he is yet to win silverware with them.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that Liverpool were on the verge of signing Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir this summer according to Daily Star.
The Premier League side sold their attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona earlier this year and they are yet to replace him.
However, the Reds will have to cough out £60 million to sign in a deal which could be sealed next week as reported by The Sun newspaper and quoted by Daily Star.
