Nigerian man allegedly refuses to take ill daughter to the hospital, says it's the woman's responsibility

- A Facebook user identified as Olorunfunmi Adebajo has shared shocking details of a how a responded to his daughter sustaining serious injury

- According to her, a young student name Rebecca tripped and hit her head on concrete while playing

- Her father who was called refused to take her to the hospital despite her suffering major swelling on the head

- His response what that it's was a woman's job to take care of child

A Facebook user identified as Olorunfunmi Adebajo recently recounted how a young girl named Rebecca almost died because her dad refused to take her to the hospital. According to Adebajo's post, the young girl tripped and hit her head on concrete while playing games with an older sibling.

Rather than take her to the hospital despite Rebecca suffering a major swell in her head area, her father blatantly refused to do the needful. When asked why he was lackluster about his child's life, he responded saying "it's a woman's responsibility to take care of a child."

When Adebajo and her team tried reaching the mother, they found her with several stitches on her face, indicating she had been a victim of several domestic violence perpetuated by the same man who refused to care for his own child.

Olorunfunmi pointed out in her post that the father wasn't being irresponsible but what had become ignorant from archaic cultural beliefs.

12 days after the blood had lumped up in a corner of Rebecca's head, she was then taken to the General hospital in Lagos. The doctor's remark read that the young girl had suffered a trauma to the head.

Thankfully, she was saved by the doctors and is alive and well.
