Cristiano Ronaldo's Real Madrid teammates claim they have known of his desire to leave the club, The Sun, quoting Marca.
Immediately after the 3-1 victory over Liverpool in the Champions League final, the 33-year-old plunged his future into doubt by saying: "It's been very nice playing for Real Madrid."
Ronaldo's comments came as a huge shock to football fans across the world and are understood to have infuriated the club's hierarchy.

However, Spanish media outlet Marca, his teammates had known how the Portuguese felt for some time but were surprised he decided to make his feelings public.
Meanwhile, barely a week after Los Blancos were crowned champions of Europe for the third successive time, coach Zinedine Zidane resigned after two and half years in charge.
President Florentino Perez said he was unaware of the Frenchman's desire to leave the Bernabeu days after winning his third European title on a row.

Reports from Spain also revealed Ronaldo is unhappy with Zidane's decision because he was the a coach he looked up to at all times.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Wales international Gareth Bale is the only player in Real Madrid that has not sent a farewell message to the departed coach.
Bale has had limited playing time with Real this season under the noses of Zidane and he is unhappy starting most key games from the bench.
