A Somalian-American lady, Halima Aden, who has decided to pursue a modelling career wearing her hijab, has signed a contract with the important IMG model agency.
Furthermore, the 19-year-old participated in Kanye West's Yeezy Season 7 at the New York Fashion Week last week, while wearing a hijab.
Aden was the first Muslim to compete in a beauty pageant in the U.S. She participated with a hijab at last year’s Miss Minnesota contest.

This girl, born in a Kenyan refugee camp, has seen her career successfully go forward, signing on to one of the top modeling agencies in the world. She shot the cover of CR Fashion book with Mario Sorrenti as well, apart from her NYFW stint.

Aden on her part, told followers on her account, @kinglimaa, to never “change yourself… change the game.” She also thanked the U.S. pageant for opening her “the door”, and commented how excited she was to join IMG Models.
