A police officer in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly robbing a woman at gunpoint.
The woman alleged that the police officer robbed her at gunpoint
The 36-year-old unnamed police officer was caught after the woman, also unnamed, reported the incident to a local police station.
The woman alleged that the officer had given her a lift from King Williams Town, Kenya, before stopping at a deserted gravel road and pulling out his firearm.

The police officer allegedly gave the woman a lift before robbing her
According to her, the police officer then demanded that she hands over her cellphone, wallet and bank cards or risk being shot.
A spokesman for the police station, Siphokazi Mawisa, said that further investigations are ongoing.
