A young man suspected to be a member of the dreaded Badoo cult group was arrested in Ikorodu in the early hours of Wednesday, June 21, 2017.
The suspect was said to have been trying to gain entrance into a home when a resident of the area saw him and raised alarm.
The young man who was with a big stone was said to have been scantily dressed. He was trying to gain access into a home at Felafon street in Ayegbami Communityin Igbogbo area of Ikorodu.

When the resident who saw him raised an alarm, he took off. The youths in the area gave him a hot chase and caught up with him in no time. He offered them N5000 in exchange for his freedom and they declined. He then increased the offer to N10,000.

The stone the suspect was caught with is a trade mark of the Badoo cult members. The timely intervention of Baba Awe, the CDA Chairman and HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo prevented him from being lynched by the irate youths. However, he was severely beaten.
The police were called and he was handed over to them for justice to be done.
