- A man has found a buried coffin full of human remains in his plot of land in Adenta
- He temporarily allowed a young man to "perch" because the young man didn't have a place to say
- The young man threatened to kill him and take over the land when he asked him to move out
A man allegedly found a coffin full of what is suspected to be human remains buried in his plot of land in Adenta, a suburb of Accra.
The plot owner identifying himself only as Kwame, while speaking to Accra100.5FM's Jerry Forson, said that he temporarily gave the plot in question to a young man who goes by the name Martin, who needed a place to stay while working with him.
Since the plot of land was vacant, he decided to let the young man build a wooden structure for himself in order for him to have proper shelter from the elements.

Narrating the incident, Kwame said:
"At that time he had a pregnant girlfriend and that made me give him the land. I didn’t rent it to him, but I started hearing rumours that he wanted to kill me to take over the land, and, so, I decided to take action."
He said that in January of this year, 2017, he told Martin that he wanted him to vacate the plot as he intended to develop the piece of land. To his dismay, Martin, refused to move off the land.

According to Kwame, Martin went as far as threatening to kill him and take over the piece of land if he [Kwame] tried to remove him from the piece of land. He said that he - along with his family - decided to remove Martin from the piece of land and build a wall around it to prevent any land encroachments.
He also decided to uproot a neem tree from the plot of land, and it was at this point he and his family found the buried coffin full of what he believes are human remains. According to him, the wooden structure also housed more coffins.
“There is a Neem tree too near the structure. I ordered that they should uproot it. We then saw a box containing some funny things – knife, red armbands, and bones I believe are human.”
