Mother abandons HIV positive baby by the roadside in Edo state (photos, video)

An HIV positive baby has been rescued after the baby was found abandoned on the roadside in Benin, Edo state.

A Nigerian woman identified as, Cecelia James, shared photos of the baby on social media after the child was rescued in Edo state.

NAIJ.com gathered that the baby was rescued along the roadside in Edo state.

According to James, when the newborn was rescued doctors took some tests and confirmed that the child was HIV positive.

James who shared the post with photos of the baby on Facebook in other to find the child’s parents, stated that funds would be provide to take care of the baby if the mother comes for her child.

She urged people to help her find the mother so the baby can get proper care instead of going back to the streets.

The Facebook user advised that abandoning the child was not the best option for both the baby and mother.
