A Nigerian soldier identified as Victor IK Sese has mysteriously passed away two years after joining the army.

The Enugu-born soldier reportedly died on Sunday, October 15, while he was on duty in Minna, Niger state.

According to some of his friends who shared the news on Facebook, the soldier joined the Nigerian army two years ago.

It was gathered that the soldier was shot dead by unknown gunmen who killed him while he was in the Minna barrack.

However, a friend to the deceased Ugwu Shadrach, claimed the soldier died in his sleep without any attack against him or sickness.

Shadrach said: “So your gone to a journey of no return, Victor IK Sese, I never set my eyes on you again since you joined the Nigerian Army and today you are gone forever, God!. Without sickness, without any physical attack. Just from sleep to death. You have been a good brother who will console youth, everybody is running crazy because of your grate departure without awareness. RIP IN PEACE. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO CLOSE MY EYES AND SLEEP TONIGHT.”
