- The story has since gone viral causing media outrage
Earlier on, NAIJ.com reported the news of a young man who narrated how he survived after being hit by a stray bullet while he was asleep. For yet another victim, his story has sadly been added to the growing statistics of unjust murders in the country today.
Identified as Mfoniso Umoh, he was reportedly a first class graduate of Marine Engineering from the Arab Academy of Maritime Transport. Mfoniso was an NYSC member serving in Port harcourt, Rivers State, when he was killed by a stray bullet from unknown gunmen who attacked and killed many, including policemen along Peter odili Road on January 8, 2018.
The news broke a lot of hearts as many of his friends described him as a promising young man whose bright future was cut short by evil men of the night. The silence of NYSC and the Rivers State state government has not helped matters as people believe justice should be served to the family of the young man.
