Nigerian cancer patient dies a week after begging God to take his life

- Yet another young man has lost his battle for life to cancer

- According to reports, he wrote about his pains online and even begged God to take his life a week before his demise

- He was believed to have died from a stage 4 cancer

The story of a Nigerian man identified as Edu Val has left people in shock and filled with a great deal of pain. He was believed to be diagnosed with the deadly cancer that eventually took his life. Prior to his death, he was known to be very vocal on the popular social media platform, Twitter.

According to reports, Edu Val was known to communicate his pains through the platform, sharing every progress on his health and the low times as well. At some point he even sought for help from his Twitter followers who were all too happy to help.

Although many people contributed in donating blood to help him manage the condition, his situation only deteriorated and he was even rejected by some hospitals before he was taken in by one of the hospitals. Edu was in so much pain and his timeline on Twitter is a proof of that.

He expressed his intentions to give up on life and even begged God to take his life a week before he died. According to him, he couldn't deal with seeing his mum cry everyday. The pains of suffering due to the illness was too much for him to handle. In one of his numerous posts, he wrote "God take my life b4 i take it myself. Watching my mum cry everyday is heartbreaking. I justr can't do anything."

With so many encouraging words from people on social media, it appeared he tried to hang on to life but eventually gave up the ghost. A friend of his took to Twitter to release the news of his death. He wrote: "Hi Everyone, I'm glad for your efforts this morning but I'm sad to inform you that @oluwalegit is DEAD. He couldn't endure the cancer pains anymore.MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE."

The news left so many people shocked and others relieved for him as they believed he had suffered for too long. Here are some of the reactions.
