It has just been reported that a 25-year-old man Chiadi Ezeibekwe allegedly got married to his 17-year-old sister. The young man did not marry his sister but was said to be responsible for her pregnancy.
This union was said to have gotten the youths of Agba village, Anambra state angry as they burnt down the church where the wedding took place. The union was officiated Chiadi’s elder brother Chijioke who also owns the church.
The youths burnt the church because they felt it is an abomination for such a union to have taken place. The church’s name was identified as Shepard of Dwelling Fullness of God Church.

New Telegraph disclosed that Chiadi’s brother conducted the wedding by making reference to Deuteronomy 36:6 which permit marriage between brothers and sisters of the same parents. His reason was countered by members of his church who quoted Leviticus 18:9, this verse of the bible does not permit marriage between siblings.
A source disclosed that another member of the family Emeka immediately called for an emergency meeting on hearing about the union. The person also disclosed that when his father heard of what happened, he said: “What has happened has happened.”
It was further reported that their mother applauded her son’s action and said it was biblical, adding that he paid her bride price.

However one Onyeka disclosed that Chiadi and some members of the family were baptised into the Adventist Church after leaving their former church in August 2016.
He said: “Since they were baptised into the church, they have been engaged in weird and rebellious behavior as well as false teachings. Because of their rebellious attitude and false teachings, the Seventh Day Adventist Church expelled them since May 2017. Not long after that, Chijioke Ezeibekwe started his own church.”
When their grandmother heard of what had happened, she immediately summoned the family for interrogation.
