A corp member in Oyo state camp has been accused of stealing items owned by fellow corp members. The corp member who was reportedly caught with other corp members’ belongings in his possession denied any knowledge of how the items were found on him.
The unidentified corp member was allegedly caught with crested vests of different sizes, jungle boots and other items that were not his own. The items were said to have been found in his belongings after a search was conducted.
It was gathered that the corp member was caught with a footwear that was owned by another corp member who had announced that he lost his footwear. A search was conducted in Ajumobi hostel to look for the lost footwear when it was found with him.

According to reports, a further search into his belongings revealed that he had items owned by other corp members in his possession.
In a video shared by Facebook user Fakoyejo Lekan, the unidentified corp member was seen as he was escorted to the guardroom by the director of the camp, soldiers and other security personnel in the camp.
However, the judgement for the crimes allegedly committed by the corp member has not been announced yet.

"A Corp member was caught with several properties belonging to his fellow Corp members at the NYSC Orientation Camp located in Iseyin, Oyo State.
The unidentified Corp member was caught with NYSC crested vests, as well as different sizes of his fellow Corp members’ jungle boot after he was suspected due to a similar incident.
It was alleged that the corp member had been previously caught with a footwear after a search was conducted in the Ajumobi hostel (boys’ hostel) where the footwear went missing - this prompted other corp members to finger him out as the culprit.
After his luggage was searched, some clothes and jungle boots belonging to other Corp members where found in his possession, and immediately, the Corpers alerted the NYSC Camp security in order to avoid jungle justice, according to one of his hostel mate.
The suspect denied the allegation, stating that he didn't steal the properties, and he has no idea how the clothes and footwear got into his luggage.
He was however taken to the guardroom by the Camp Director, Soldiers and other security personnel on the camp ground.
As the NYSC camp is set to close on Monday, it's unknown if the suspected Corp member will appear before the Camp Court established to prosecute cases like this, including misconduct and disregard for camp rules and regulations by Corp members.
The clothes and footwear are being returned to the owners as at the time of writing this report."
