- Former director of the Bureau of Investigation, James Comey, made the allegation in an interview
- He also alleged that Trump treats women like 'pieces of meat'
Former director of the Bureau of Investigation (FBI), James Comey, has accused the president of the United States, Donald Trump, of being 'morally unfit' for the presidency and treating women like 'pieces of meat'.
Comey said this on Sunday, April 15 in an interview he granted ABC's 20/20 programme, his first television interview since he was fired in 2017, Aljazeera reports.
NAIJ.com notes that Comey said that Trump's personality is capable of staining everyone around him. He said: "The challenge of this president is that he will stain everyone around him."

In the four-hour interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos, Comey said he does not think Trump is "medically unfit to be president", but rather "morally unfit to be president".
He added: "A person who sees moral equivalence in Charlottesville, who talks about and treats women like they're pieces of meat, who lies constantly about matters big and small and insists the American people believe it, that person's not fit to be president of the United States, on moral grounds."
Comey was referring to August 2017 "United the Right" rally that turned deadly when a white supremacist allegedly rammed his car into a group of people protesting against racism, claiming the life of 32-year-old Heather Heyer.
The US president blamed "both sides" for the violence.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that President Donald Trump fired America’s FBI director, James Comey over his poor handling of Hillary Clinton’s e-mail scandal during the last presidential election in the country.
It was reported that the announcement sent shock waves through Washington as the sack ended the career of the man who was once seen as the unimpeachable and nonpartisan ideal of how a law enforcement officer should behave.
