Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly declared himself for this month UEFA Champions league final against Liverpool in Kiev.

The 33-year-old suffered a knock on his ankle during Los Blancos 2-2 draw against Barcelona at the Camp Nou in last weekend’s El Clasico.

Meanwhile, contrary to reports that the Portugal international was a doubt for the important game against the Reds, the five time ballon d’Or winner took to his social media handle earlier today to tell his fans to expect him at the final on May 26.

Ronaldo, who returned to training, posted a picture of himself on Twitter in training mode with a caption that says: “Back on track.

The former Manchester United was not included in Real’s starting lineup against Celta Vigo in their match day 37 in the Spanish League, and could also be rested for their final game of the season at Villarreal next Saturday.

However, Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane earlier this week claimed that Ronaldo’s injury was not serious and that he would love to have him back for their last game of this league season.

He said: “It would be perfect to have him back for the Villarreal game. It is a knock, but he didn't damage his fibula. His ankle is okay.

“It's incredible that he's already walking after 48 hours. That shows his ambition, his desire to want to play.

Former Liverpool and Real Madrid midfielder Steve McManaman believes Ronaldo will be in tip-top condition for the final.

Speaking to people in Madrid, he will be fit and ready for the final don’t you worry about that,” the former Liverpool winger said.

If Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t play it of course gives Liverpool an edge because he’s the best player in the world.

Ronaldo has been superb for the Galacticos all season long – scoring 41 goals in all competitions for his side despite starting the season on a low.

He was also instrumental to their back to back UCL triumphs, as they are gunning for their third straight victory in Europe’s top league.

The former Sporting CP forward has won a total 25 major titles for his club and country – four of them are the Champions Leagues he won at Manchester United and Real Madrid.

For Los Blancos, he has scored 310 topflight goals in 291 matches, while at Manchester United, he scored 84 goals in 196 games.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that Real Madrid manager Zinedine was confident his star man would be fit for the crunch clash.

The Portuguese was substituted at half-time during the weekend's draw against Barcelona when he scored the first equalizer.

He was responsible for one of the goals that resulted in his side avoiding defeat at Camp Nou on May 6.
