Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has been crowned the 2017-18 Premier League highest goals scorer with 32 goals in a season.

The 25-year-old became the first player to score 32 EPL goals in a single season after scoring in the Reds 4-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield on Sunday, May 13.

Alan Shearer initially set the record of 31 goals in 1996, but Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez both equaled the record in 2008 and 2014 respectively.

Salah beat Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, who finished with 30 goals at the end of this season to the prestigious award after helping Spurs beat Leicester City 5-4.

The former Chelsea forward was earlier named the EA Sports player of the year, beating Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne to the prize.

Salah also became the second African to win the PFA player of the year after an impressive season with Liverpool this term.

He has also been crowned Liverpool’s best player of the year, and at the same time winning the Writers Association best player award.

The former Roma winger has scored a total of 44 goals in all competitions this season, and he could increase the tally when his side battle Real Madrid in the final of this year’s Champions League in Ukraine later this month.

Salah only joined the Reds last summer, but his impact at the Anfield Stadium has been felt – helping them go unbeaten in all competition on their home turf, as well as firing them to the final of the UCL for the first time since 2007.

The 25-year-old has 11 Champions League goals this season, four less than Cristiano Ronaldo’s tally and he must be all firing if he must win the same prize on the continent.

Earlier, NAIJ.com reported that Mohamed Salah was crowned the EA SPORTS Player of the Season following a productive season in his first season at Liverpool.

The 25-year-old has scored 44 goals in all competitions this season, and could probably score more in this year's Champions League final against Real Madrid.

He joined the Reds from AS Roma last summer, and he has justified his signing by coach Jurgen Klopp before the start of the 2017-18 season.
